Thanks a Bunch Card

Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a fabulous day because I sure am! This is my first post as June Guest Designer at Ginger Snap Scraps!

Today the theme is Fruits and Veggies. So I went with fruits and made this Thanks a Bunch card with my cricut and new papers I got at Ginger Snap Scraps. I cut out the strawberries from the Cricut Preserves Cartridge and wanted them to look a bit more realistic. So with a lead pencil I had lying around my desk I made some tick marks on the strawberries and there ya go, my strawberries have seeds! Pretty nifty, right? I then "filled" my big jar with Candy Cane Stickles so it looks like Sweet Jam. Afterwards, I inked up the whole card with my Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and that's all! It came together pretty quickly but I still think it packs quite a punch! Thanks for stopping by! You know what? I love paper!!! For many reasons but mainly because I am many times inspired by paper and this is definitely one of those times! I was trying to design something on my gypsy and I just didn't like what was coming up on the screen. So I turned it off and thought I was in a phunk. So I started skimming through my Basic Grey Paper and lo and behold I run across this paper in the Offbeat paper pad! IT inspired me to make this card! A combo I would've never thought of on my own! But they do make a cute couple!

When life gives you lemons card!

Can you believe I have just recently become addicted to Basic Grey!?I'm a little late I know but I'm catching up! So I got the Basic Grey Lemonade paper pad and thought the paper in there would go perfectly with this saying from the Just Because Cards Cartridge. :)

When I got Preserves I started looking through the booklet as I always do when I first get a cartridge and I ran into the watermelon. I thought it kind of looked like the bottom of a boat and this card came to life from that watermelon boat. I made it to cheer someone up and gave it to my friend who was really stressed out at the time.:)
